WHO WE ARE
Midlands Drama Academy is a part-time drama academy based in the West Midlands, Leeds and ONLINE. Founded in 2014, with a mission to train raw and diverse talent that will succeed in the acting industry. MDA is dedicated to creating stars that will work across tv/film and theatre. We currently train students across the UK and USA. Classes are kept small and personal so you get lots of attention!
Our extensive training across movement, voice, text, and the wide breadth of disciplines that are integrated into our curriculum, enables students from children through to adults to develop their own distinctive voices and equip them for the professional world of dramatic arts.
After years of witnessing actors training with people with no industry experience, and dated perceptions of what accessing the industry may require, we decided that affordable and accurate training was needed. Not everyone can afford a x3 year degree, those who can often leave with little contacts and connections to the industry, some people feel their too old to go for their dream, or just that its simply too far away from who they are. People can’t get an agent without a spotlight account, and can’t get on spotlight without an agent. The industry is a wonderful creative space and has room for everyone. As an academy lead by award winning TV/Film actors, we understand that with the right guidance, you can and will make it. We nurture people to enhance their inherent talents in a safe and professional environment that also generates life-long friendships.
