A note from the principal Nichola (Burley) Brown;

When I set up MDA, I did so in response to what I felt was a deficit in people being trained accurately for TV/Film & theatre predominantly outside of London.  I wanted to fill the void within mainstream media, of children and adults that were perhaps not classically trained or from artistic backgrounds, but had an undeniable thirst and commitment to learning dramatic arts. I knew that I could foster community, encourage diversity, and nurture ground-breaking talent; a school that reflects the world we live in.

We are a team of award winning seasoned actors who actively work in TV/Film & theatre ourselves. The training you are provided with is learnt directly from being active actors/actresses as well as teachers with 20+ years experience.

Within classes, either in person or online, you will be surrounded by diverse and supportive peers who share the same passion as you for dramatic arts. Collectively you will learn everything required to better understand what it truly means to be an actor and how to make it yourself. 

You will benefit from live performance opportunities, showcases to casting directors, workshops and masterclasses, as well as castings where suitable. All of which, will see you thrive.
